I have been an artist for over 50 years.

I am mostly self-taught but have taken classes at RISD, URI and Dutchess Community College. I started drawing cartoons in the US Air Force for my co-workers' entertainment, then transitioned to staff artist at the Ramstein NCO Club.

After my military service, I freelanced and started painting watercolors in 1980. I worked as a graphic designer for IBM from 1988 to 1993, and began a graphic design and pencil portrait business in 1992 through 1996.

In 2009 I moved to Calabash, North Carolina and pursued my watercolor painting full time. I have been teaching watercolor to the delight of local students for over 10 years now.

I continue pursuing the natural wonders in North Carolina and look forward to a long lifetime of painting and teaching!
